Jayne Gold is an Assistant Professor of Theatre Education and Theatre Arts whose research, practice, and teaching spans academia and community engagement. Recent publications include an article in the International Journal of Heritage Studies, a chapter in Witnessing Change: Applied Theatre and Youth Agency, and a forthcoming article in Theatre Notebook. Jayne specialises in inclusive, student-centred pedagogy. Her academic roles include prestigious institutions like Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Her doctoral research at the University of Bristol explored the theatrical history of Brecon, Wales, where she produced a Heritage Lottery-funded community theatre project. In 2025, her direction of ‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time’ earned praise for its emotional resonance and inclusive, authentic approach. A passionate advocate for theatre as a tool for change, Jayne's applied theatre practice and research reaches from theatre for babies to older adults in memory care.
