Jayne is a researcher at the University of Bristol. Supported by the Brecknock Society and Museum Friends, her research on Brecon's theatre history is funded in memory of local Brecon historian Sister Bonaventure Kelleher. She is passionate about ways in which communities can engage with their local histories and has recently acquired funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund to deliver a community heritage project in rural Wales.

 

Jayne is an experienced teacher and creative producer and has many years' experience teaching and producing theatre with young people.  Jayne served on the board of trustees for Company 3 who create innovative original theatre with and by young people.  She is currently a lecturer on the Guildhall School of Music and Drama's PGcert Performance Teaching course and has worked with the Institute of Education to train teachers. Jayne currently runs classes and events for young people and their families focusing on the interplay between three of her biggest passions: well-being, nature and art.
